Last Wednesday we did a run through of our solo songs in front of the class for the first time, I was definitely feeling very nervous before and during my performance as for me it was the first time the class was going to hear me sing, however after the performance I was feeling proud of myself that I had the courage to go up there and do it despite how I felt and this is going to help with improving my confidence in terms of my singing and other aspects of performing arts.

In terms of my targets that I set which were confidence in singing and breath control and the exercises I have been doing leading up to the performance I feel that although I was visibly nervous when I was performing as its an aspect I need to further work on, I feel that even with this I was able to sustain my vocals through out the performance and I feel happy with how I felt breath wise while singing and I will still being be working on my breath control moving on.

I feel that the exercises for my breath control have been very helpful and moving forward I will be using them further and in time I will begin to see a change in how I feel breath wise when singing.

My goal for improving my confidence was to start by being resilient and doing something out of my comfort zone despite how nervous I felt and I definitely did this and I am proud that I did, I hope that this will start my journey to becoming a more confident performer.

I am happy with the plan I have set myself to improve my vocals and I feel that I am going to continue to use this plan and see much more improvement in myself and my singing as I go on.

The feedback I received from the class was to work on my confidence, and this is something I definitely know I need further work on, but I know as I begin to perform more in front of an audience my confidence will grow therefore also allowing me to further improve my vocals.
